Most of my adult life is spent trying to escape those very things, while still residing in South-Cent-PA. To each his own tho. :) Most of the "hometown" restaurants I've ever lived close to have served the majority of those items. I can't say I recommend the restaurants, but Funcks, Kum Esse, Kreiders, and any diner you find along 22 or 81/78. I think there's also a "proper" German restaurant on South 72 real close to the Renn Faire. EW!
