I love the BMW R1200GS Adventure. But this bike is just too big for me. This was one of the riders of the BMW XPLOR the Pine Barrens event in New Jersey last year. I spent more time riding than taking photos but this was one of my favorites. By the time my group arrived at this sand pit where Jimmy Lewis was giving instructions on how to ride your BMW motorcycle through the New Jersey sand I was ready for a break.
On Saturday, March 8th BMW Motorcycles is having an open house at a dealer near you. For me that dealer is Velocity Cycle in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania where I bought my 2006 BMW F650GS. BMW will be announcing the winner of a 2008 BMW F800GS (which I entered my name for) which has still not been made available in the United States yet. But boy do I want one! Aside from checking to see if I have indeed won this amazing bike, I need to talk to them about some tires for my bike, a spring tune-up, and a new touring jacket.
